Microsoft Plans to Monetize Bing's AI Chatbot with Ads
Ads have started appearing in Bing's AI Chatbot, but not the way you would expect. When you have a conversation with Bing's chatbot, it will generate a response with ads baked in. This makes the answer a lot less credible. Also, the "ad" label is not clear about what is being sponsored, making it hard to discern what is useful vs. paid information.

It's going to be fascinating to see how the unit economics of Ads in language models will unfold and affect search advertising.

Some users have said that they have had ads since the launch and others still don't see ads. Let's just hope that Bing's chatbot doesn't start spreading paid misinformation.
