You probably have never heard of Tacochain before, you can even Google it and still be wondering. Well, that's because it was created just a few days ago (as of 10/11/2022). This blog will give you a short introduction to Tacochain and shouldn't take too long to read.

Tacochain

Tacochain is my personal blockchain project. I have recently become fascinated with cryptocurrencies not because of the money, but because of the technology that makes the transfer of money better than normal currencies. To really understand how blockchains work, I am creating my own personal blockchain from scratch to learn all about the intricate details. Tacochain is a mix of the word blockchain and taco (because I love tacos).

What to Expect

My goals for Tacochain are not to create the next big blockchain, but to create a blockchain that implements most of the powerful technology in other blockchains. I also want to write about what I learn from this project so others can gain a deeper understanding of blockchains.

I plan for the blog posts to be understandable to many people, but an understanding of computers and the internet should be a minimum with programming experience being ideal. Though I will make no assumptions about your current understanding of blockchains, so this will be perfect for anyone that wants to start learning about blockchains. Later posts will also be valuable to more experienced "blockchainers" as they will cover more advanced topics.

Where and When Can I Learn More?

This Tacochain will be entirely open-source on GitHub for those that want to dig into the code for themselves. All the blog posts about blockchains will be based on learnings from Tacochain and will be on this website. These blog posts will not have regular schedules for posting because it takes time to learn about a new topic, understand it, then write about it.
